Obituary
John Dodaro of 1047 Athalia Ave.,Monessen,died Sunday,Sept. 21,1980,at 9:30 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 82. Mr. Dodaro was born June 23,1898,in Italy,a son of the late Pietro and Madeline Salvino Dodaro,and had been a resident of Monessen since 1920. He was a member of St. Catejan R.C.Church,Monessen,and its Holy Name Society,was a former officer of the St. Catejan Parish Council,and held memberships in the Monessen Sons of Italy and the Italian Society of Mutual Aid. Mr. Dodaro retired in 1967 from the Stream Plant Department of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation's Monessen Works. He was preceded in death by his wife,Teresa Altemara Dodaro,in 1969;by a sister,Vincenzina Spadafore,in 1973;and by a brother,Louis Dodaro,in 1975. Survivors include a son, Pat Dodaro,at home;two daughters,Mrs. Robert (Jean) Stark and Mrs. Paul (Evelyn) Kowell,both of Monessen; two grandchildren,Robert John Stark and Paula John Kowell;a brother,Eugene Dodaro,of Monessen;and several nieces and nephews.
