Obituary

Eighty-nine hours after his skull was fractured in a collision between an automobile and a train at a crossing on the Monessen-Belle Vernon road,at the north end of Belle Vernon,John Colelli,26,of Fourth and Main street,Belle Vernon,died in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital,Saturday evening,March 6,1937,at 7:15 o'clock. The accident happened last Wednesday morning at 2:10 o'clock. He was in a 1929 model coupe. Colelli,popular member of the Belle Vernon Fire Department,never regained consciousness after the early morning crash. Little hope was held for his recovery from the first and on Friday the attending physician said death was inevitable. Colelli is survived by his parents,Mr.and Mrs.Anthony Colelli,four brothers,Amerigo,Nello,Ernest and Albert,all at home,two sisters,Mrs.Anthony Guzzi,of Belle Vernon,and Mrs.Benjamin Levine,of Jeannette,and one cousin,John Clement,who lives with the Colelli's. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning,March 9,1937,at 10 o'clock in the St.Sebastian Church,with Rev.James J.O'Connell officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
