Obituary

John Hlopko,64,of 5 Linden Ave.,Monessen,died Wednesday,March 8,1961,at 7:55 a.m.of a heart attack at the Monessen Page plant of American Chain & Cable Co.,where he had been employed in the testing department since 1939. Westmoreland County Coroner Stehpen D.Yoney said Mr.Hlopko had suffered a heart ailment previous to this morning's fatal attack. Surviving is his widow,Dorothea. Mr.Hlopko was a member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus R.C.Church,Monessen and its Holy Name Society,Catholic Sokols,Ukrainian Political Club and Russian-American Association. Friends are being received at the late home,where brief services will be held Saturday,March 11,1961,at 10:30 a.m. Additional rites will follow at 11 a.m. from Most Holy Name of Jesus R.C.Church,Monessen. The Rev.Joseph Gajdosik will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Stephen D.Yoney,funeral director.
