John Allen Patterson;24;of 241 Reed Ave.;Monessen;was pronounced dead on arrival at 3:40 p.m.;Monday;May 29;1972;at Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Born June 15;1947;in North Charleroi;the deceased was the son of John L.Patterson of Brooklyn;N.Y.;and Betty Irene Shorter Patterson of Belle Vernon. He attended Belle Vernon Area High School and received his diploma while serving in the U.S.Air Force from October 1965 to February 1969. His four-year enlistment included a tour of duty in Vietnam. Mr.Patterson was employed at the Charleroi plant of Corning Glass Works. In addition to his parents he is survived by his widow;Mrs.Miriam Patterson of Brooklyn;a son;John Jr.;about 2 1/2 years;two brothers;Thomas and Randall;both of Belle Vernon;and his maternal grandparents;Mr.and Mrs.Donald Fisher of Pricedale.
