John A.Teano;Age 16 years;of 22 Sampson St.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;June 16;1946;at 4 p.m. He drowned in the Mononagahela River along with a companion;Steve Toth. He was the son of Tony and Josephine Teano. He had completed his Junior year at the Belle Vernon school the past term. He was prominent as a member of the school’s varsity basketball team. Friends will be received at the late home. Services will be held at St.Sebastian’s R.C.Church in Belle Vernon;June 19;1946;at 9 a.m.;with Rev.Eugene Harkins officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
