Joan Ann Eversburg, 69, of Washington Township, Belle Vernon, went home to be with her Lord and husband on Saturday, March 28, 2015, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Henry and Pearl Smith McKenzie, she was born in Cheverly, Md., on April 16, 1945. A member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, she had resided in Washington Township since 1986 and was formerly of Alexandria, Va. Joan had been employed for five years at China C in Suitland, Md. She was a strong-willed woman and a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that was loved by all. Survivors include five daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon Eversburg of Belle Vernon, Karen Davison and fiance, Jeff Matthews of Orange, Va., Kimberly and Guy Albero of Charleroi, Stacie Lee and Kenneth Bickerton of Washington Township and Patricia Diane Morris and fiance, Brian Zampatti of Belle Vernon; four sisters, Margaret Bell of Chance, Va., Shirley Crawford of New Port Richie, Fla., Susan Terry of Inwood, W.Va., and Beverly Wilkinson of South Carolina; two brothers, Tommy McKenzie of Waldorf, Md. and Daniel McKenzie of Martinsburg, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren, Joshua and Joseph Tolson, Amber Cook, Corey Oakes, Ashley Jacobs, Heather Sullivan, Chelsea, Bo and Beth Ann Davison, Marina Albero, Jacob Gherardini, Atacie Eversburg, Zachary and Andrew Bickerton and Brandon and Austin Morris; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Eusebius Eversburg on March 27, 1994; three sisters, Nancy Pickeral, Betty Armstrong and Gladys Fortner; and two brothers, James and Russell McKenzie. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com, 724-929-5300. A blessing service will be in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 3 p.m. Tuesday led by members of St. Sebastian Parish.
