Jesus Ramirez,73,of 1038 Morgan Ave.,Monessen was found dead of asphyxiation at his home on Sunday,April 17,1966 at 2:30 p.m. Westmoreland County Coroner Stephen D. Yoney reported that Mr. Ramirez passed away while sitting in a chair in his bedroom. Mr. Ramirez retired from the blooming mill of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. in 1955. He was born in Jalisco.,Mexico on Oct. 19,1892. Surviving are his widow,Helen;a son, Jose in Mexico;one daughter,Resugio Ramirez, a nun in Mexico;one step-daughter,Mrs. Samuel (Irene) Thorpe of Monessen;four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen after 7 p.m. April 18. Service in the funeral home chapel Wednesday,April 20,at 2 p.m. with the Rev. D.D.Chatman,pastor of Union Baptist Church in Monessen,officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper, funeral director.
