Obituary

Jesse J.Cramer,aged 44 years,died in the U.S.Veterans Hospital at Aspinwall,Pittsburgh,Wednesday evening,Oct.13,1937,at 10:45 o'clock,after an illness of five years. He was born Aug.2,1893,and had been a resident of Belle Vernon since 1924,residing at 123 State street. He was foreman in the Carnegie Steel Company plant,and was a member of Belle Vernon Legion Post No.659. He had served as a private in Company H.167th Infantry of the 42nd Division. He sailed for France,September 23,1918. Surviving are his wife,Mrs.Ronda Cramer,and twin sons,Joseph and James,12 years of age,his mother,Mrs.Eliza Cramer,of Elizabeth,Pa.,three sisters,Mrs.William Ludwick and Mrs.Bert Yates,of Elizabeth and Mrs.Clarence Kessler of Baltimore,Md.,and three brothers,Albert of Wilson,William and Charles,of Elizabeth. The body will be taken to his late home,128 State street,until Sunday morning,when it will be taken to the Toner Funeral Home,where military funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Services will be in charge of Rev.Sydney Gaffney of the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church,with interment to be made in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
