Jessie E.Dawson;87;of 511 Henry St.;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;Feb.21;1989;at 4:45 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Mrs.dawson was born June 9;1901 in Italy;a daughter of the late Egidio and Esther Sylvester. Her husband;William Dawson;died in 1973. Two brothers and two sisters are also deceased. Mrs.Dawson was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. She had resided in the Belle Vernon area for the past 82 years. Surviving are two sons;William A.Dawson of Belle Vernon and Jack Dawson of Belle Vernon R.D.1;one daughter;Lois Culbertson of Belle Vernon;nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home;Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by a 10 a.m.Mass of Christian Burial in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home;Inc.;is in charge of arrangements.
