Obituary

Jess L.Cain,65,of 517 Schoonmaker Avve.,Monessen,died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital at 4:30 p.m.Sunday,Nov.22,1964,after a lingering illness. Born in Greene County,Mr.Cain had been a Monessen resident for the past 40 years. He was employed at the United States Steel Irvin Works until 1960 when he retired. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Waynesburg and the Fraternal Order of Eagles,Aerie 2399 of Monessen. Surviving are his widow,Helen Daugherty Cain,the following children,Mrs.William (Mary Lou) Chowning of Stroh,Ind.,Tech Sgt.James Cain stationed with the U.S.Air Force in Savannah,Ga.,Tech Sgt.Johh Cain stationed with the U.S.Air Force at Tokyo,Japan,Charles Cain,an employee of the Valley Independent,at home,Martha and Sarah Cain at home,eight grandchildren,a sister,Mrs.Mae Morris,and a brother,Paul Cain,both of Waynesburg. A son,Robert,died in 1955. Friends are being received at the H.Denver Rhome Funeral Home,Monessen,where service will take place Tuesday,Nov.24,at 1:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev.Wayne M.Tolson,pastor of the First Christian Church of Monessen. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. H.Denver Rhome,funeral director.
