Jess L.Cain;65;of 517 Schoonmaker Avve.;Monessen;died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital at 4:30 p.m.Sunday;Nov.22;1964;after a lingering illness. Born in Greene County;Mr.Cain had been a Monessen resident for the past 40 years. He was employed at the United States Steel Irvin Works until 1960 when he retired. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Waynesburg and the Fraternal Order of Eagles;Aerie 2399 of Monessen. Surviving are his widow;Helen Daugherty Cain;the following children;Mrs.William (Mary Lou) Chowning of Stroh;Ind.;Tech Sgt.James Cain stationed with the U.S.Air Force in Savannah;Ga.;Tech Sgt.Johh Cain stationed with the U.S.Air Force at Tokyo;Japan;Charles Cain;an employee of the Valley Independent;at home;Martha and Sarah Cain at home;eight grandchildren;a sister;Mrs.Mae Morris;and a brother;Paul Cain;both of Waynesburg. A son;Robert;died in 1955. Friends are being received at the H.Denver Rhome Funeral Home;Monessen;where service will take place Tuesday;Nov.24;at 1:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev.Wayne M.Tolson;pastor of the First Christian Church of Monessen.
