Obituary

Jesse D.Case,aged 69,Superintendent of the Oil Well Tubing Department,Allenport plant,Pittsburgh Steel company,died suddenly at his home,425 Jones Street,Belle Vernon,Wednesday,January 21,1953,at 8:40 o'clock. He had been affiliated with the Pittsburgh Steel Company for the past 51 years and was honored by officials of the company last spring at a testimonial luncheon after completion of 50 years serving with the company. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Charleroi-Monessen Hospital,a past president of the Belle Vernon Rotary Club,a member of the Lutheran Reform Church,of Lehighton,Pa.and also of the Woodmen of the World. He is survived by his wife,Mrs.Clara Case,one son,Lewis,Charleroi,R.D.,and one daughter,Mrs.Gerald Schreiber,Pittsburgh,and one grandchild. Friends will be received at the late home. services will be held there Monday,January 26,1953,at 2 p.m.,in charge of Rev.Vernon Bowers of the First Christian Church of Monessen. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon cemetery. Chas.L.Melenyzer and Shelby D.Ferguson are the funeral directors.
