Jennie Q. Flora; 98; of North Belle Vernon; died Thursday; Aug. 24; 2006; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late August and Rose Cipperone Quintier; she was born in Belle Vernon on July 3; 1908. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon; the United Methodist Women and the Ruth Circle. Jennie was a past matron from 1970 to 1971 of the former Eastern Star; Chapter 196. She graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 1927 and taught for 43 years in the Belle Vernon School District; retiring in 1970. Other memberships included the PA State Education Association; the Westmoreland County Retired Teachers Association and the PA Retired Public School Employees Association. Survivors include her husband of 66 years; Frank F. Flora; many nieces and nephews; including Rose Kander; of North Belle Vernon; Robert and Patti Pantano; of Holland; Mich.; Jackie Pantano; of Detroit; Mich.; Tom and Lorraine Quintier; of North Belle Vernon; Joanne Schuster; of Monongahela; and Frank and Dolores Mascara; of Charleroi. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by two sisters; Mary Pantano; in 1980; and Faye Quintier; in infancy; one brother; Joseph Quintier; in 1956; four sisters-in-law; Anna Pollizano; Mary Mascara; Josephine Neil and Angelina Brazack; and four brothers-in-law; Ross; Peter; Joseph and John Flora. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE; www.fergusonfuneralhome.net; a Golden Rule Member Firm; (724-929-5300); 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. Additional visitation will be in the First United Methodist Church on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m.; the time of the service with the Rev. David Zona officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Eastern Star; Chapter 108; will meet in the funeral home to hold services on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
