Obituary

Mrs. Jennie McClain Bowen,75,died at the home of her daughter,Mrs.Ray Pro of 817 McKean Ave.,Charleroi,Thursday,June 14,1962,at 2:10 a.m. Born in Belle Vernon,May 19,1887,she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mary McClain. She lived in Belle Vernon until 1944 when she moved to Charleroi to live with her daughter. Mrs.Bowen was a member of the Loyal Women's Class of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon. Her husband,John,a son,William,and a brother,Ray McClain preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter,Mrs.Ray (Nora) Pro of Charleroi,one grandson,Albert Ward,and three granddaughters,Susan,Pamela and Leslie Rae,all of Columbus,Ohio. Friends will be received at the Michael A.Melinchak Funeral Home,Charleroi,after 7 p.m.June 14. Hours will then be 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services at the funeral home Saturday,June 16,at 3 p.m.in charge of the Rev.John P.Pro,of the First Baptist Church,Jeannette,assisted by the Rev.Martin Longenecker,pastor of the Charleroi First Methodist Church. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. John L.Bake,Fayette City,funeral director in charge.
