Jennie DeFazio Evans; 97; of North Belle Vernon; died Friday; Sept. 26; 2008; at Harmon House; Mt. Pleasant. Born May 21; 1911; in Belle Vernon; she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Stagi DeFazio. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon and a homemaker; Mrs. Evans was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of the former Catholic Daughters of the Americas; Belle Vernon Court 1522 and the former St. Sebastian Legion of Mary. Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law; Irene and Guido Simboli; of North Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Henry V. Evans; a daughter; Lois Evans; three brothers; Santos ‘Sam’; Tony and James DeFazio; and three sisters; Mary DeFazio; Theresa Baker and Rose Campisano. Private visitation and funeral services were held this morning; Monday; Sept. 29; with the Rev. Ronald L. Simboli officiating at the LEONARD J.
