Jennie DiPrimio Assetta, 79,of Belle Vernon R.D.3 died Tuesday, Jan. 17,1989,at 4:30 p.m. in Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Assetta was born Aug. 5,1909,in Greensburg,a daughter of the late Jospeh and Geovnia Baldasari DiPrimo. She had been a resident of the Belle Vernon community since 1945. Mrs. Assetta was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,the Regina Lodge of the Italian Society of Monessen and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP). Her husband, Angelo Assetta, died in 1959.A half-brother, Pete DiPrimio,is also deceased. Surviving are a son, Dr. Ralph B. Assetta of Irwin; one brother,Patsy DiPrimio of Greensburg; one step-brother,Tony DiPrimio of Greensburg; two half-sisters, Mrs. Milly Moschetti of Greensburg and Mrs. Leda McKelvey in California and two grandchildren. There will be no public visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday at noon in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Private burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,is in charge of arrangements.
