formerly of Fayette City; the
Sphar Nursing Home; Belle
Vernon; and Monongahela;
died Wednesday; March 1;
1995; in the Horizon Senior
Care Home; Canonsburg.
She was born Feb. 3;1908; in
Roscoe; a daughter of the late
Richard and Jean Smith
Wilcox.
Mrs. Helmken was Protestant
by faith.
Surviving are one daughter;
Mrs. George (Irene) Leyda of
Monongahela; one sister; Mrs.
Joseph (Irene) Vent of San
Diego; Calif.; eight grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents;
she was preceded in death by
her husband; Henry Helmken
in 1969; a son; William Helmken
in 1986; and a brother; Richard
Wilcox in 1990.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
and Friday until 11 a.m. in the
Howard W; McCrory Funeral
Home; Fayette City;where services will be held with the Rev.Charles Harper;pastor of the Fayette City United Methodist Church;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
