Obituary

Clarkson Book of 100 Beacon St., Belle Vernon, died Thursday, June 26,1986, at 5 a.m. in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, following an illness of the past two months. He was 74. Mr. Book was born March 7,1912, in Lewistown, a son of the late Charles and Ella Morgan Book. A Belle Vernon resident the past 52 years, he had owned and operated C. Book Radiator Service in Belle Vernon since I960. He and his wife, the former Emma Britt, celebrated 52 years of marriage on Dec. 23,1985. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a daughter,Gertrude Jean,in 1942. Survivors include his wife,Emma Britt Book,two sons,Louis C.Book of Belle Vernon and Theodore Book of Jacksonville,Fla.,one brother,Millard Book of Lafayette,Ind.,six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Saturday,June 28,1986,at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Kenneth Neiderhiser,pastor of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene,officating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
