Janie Stringhill Mitchell; 89; of North Belle Vernon; died Monday; October 15; 2007 at 6:58 pm at Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Twp.

Born November 30; 1917 in Fayette City; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Mazzei Stringhill.

A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon; Mrs. Mitchell was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church; Belle Vernon and was a self employed beautician.

The last surviving member of her immediate family she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a
godson Dennis Thompson of California

She is preceded in death by her husband James Mitchell; 9 brothers Orlando; Charles; Frank; Rudolph; James; Fred; Anthony; Samuel; Louis Stringhill and 2 sisters Innis Stringhill and Lena Mazzei.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Avenue; Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.

Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Charles P. Esposito Parochial Vicar as celebrant.

Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Janie Mitchell Wednesday at 3 PM in the funeral home.
