Mrs. Jane Downing Harvey,aged 65 years,wife of Jack Harvey,died at 11:20 on Wednesday, November 1,1944 at her home,460 Motheral avenue,following a stroke suffered Monday of this week. She had been in failing health since April of this year. Mrs. Harvey came to America from England in 1906 and upon her arrival to New York City,was married to Mr. Harvey. They came immediately to Monessen where they established a home and have since continuously resided. Mrs. Harvey was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Monessen Chapter of the Eastern Star. Surviving are her husband and one daughter, Miss Marjorie Harvey,a teacher in the Monessen High School. A brother,Edward Downing,who has resided for many years with the Harvey family,four sisters and another brother in England also survive. Friends are being received at the Kelly Funeral home,688 McKee avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning,November 4,at 10 o'clock,from Trinity Episcopal Church,with Rev. Robert Shaw officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. R.S.Kelly,funeral director,in charge.
