Funeral services were held Saturday morning Jan.18;1992;in the chapel of the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.;Monessen;for Jane B.Johnston of 5850 Meridian Rd.;Gibsonia;who died Thursday;Jan.16;1992;in North Hills Passavant Hospital following a lengthy illness.  She was born in Cumberland;Md.;a daughter of the late Samuel and Ida Mae Siple.  She was a former resident of the Sweeney Plan;Belle Vernon;for many years prior to moving to the St.Barnabas Retirement Village in Gibsonia.  She was a member of Bentleyville United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star;Monessen;Chapter 205.  Survivors include her husband;Melvin A.Johnston;and two nephews;Barry G.Siple of Wilmington;Del.;and Robert Siple of Chesterton;Ind.  The Rev.Kenneth J.Peters officiated at the funeral services.  Burial was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
