Obituary

James Walter Horrell of Fayette City R.D.1,died suddenly at 12:08 a.m. Monday,Aug.1,1977 in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was 45. Mr.Horrell was born in Belle Vernon on June 5,1932,son of the late James W.and Charlotte Forsythe Horrell. He had resided in Fayette City the past 14 years,having formerly been a resident of Belle Vernon. He was a former employee of Equibank,having worked at the Belle Vernon,California,Monongahela and Pittsburgh branches. He was employed by the Funding Systems Leasing Corp.of Pittsburgh the past three years and was recently named vice president of administration with the firm. Mr.Horrell served with the U.S.Navy during the Korean Conflict and belonged to the Lynnwood Lutheran Church,F&AM Lodge 643 of Belle Vernon,Scottich Rite of Uniontown and Consistory of Pittsburgh. He is survived by his widow,Lorelei Kolessar Horrell,three sons,James W.II,Joseph W.and Victor G.,and a daughter,Rebecca C.,all at home,two brothers,William R.Horrell and Roy I.Horrell,both of Belle Vernon,and one sister,Mrs.Arthur (Eleanor) Pienkoski of Painted Post,N.Y. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m.Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and until 11:30 a.m. Wednesday when the body will be taken to Lynnwood Lutheran Church to lie in state from 12 noon until 1 p.m.,the hour of service. There will be no viewing at the church. Officiating at the 1 p.m. services will be Pastor Hartzell A.Michael. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
