James W.Stimmell;86;of Belle Vernon;died Thursday July 19;2012 at 12:54 am at Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. Born July 14;1926 in Fayette City;Pa he was the son of the late Asa and Matilda Neff Stimmell. Mr.Stimmell was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon;Prostestant by faith and was a retired mason from Whg-Pgh Steel;Monessen and Allenport Plants. He was also a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S.Army and member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He is survived by a sister & brother-in-law;Ella Mae & Robert Christopher of Orchard Park;N.Y.;best friend;Mary Farquhar of Belle Vernon and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by three brothers;Henry Stimmell;Asa Stimmell and Bernard Stimmell;three sisters;Violet Nussbaumer;Margaret Stimmell and Katherine Gantner. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations;Family Owned and Operated;626 Broad Avenue;Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Services will be held Monday at the Parzynski Funeral Home& Cremations at 10:00 a.m.with the Rev.Wayne R.Boring of First Christian Church of Fayette City officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion will conduct services Sunday at 7 PM in the funeral home.
