James V.(Red) Young;59;of 208 Henry St.;Belle Vernon died Friday;Aug.25;1972;at 6:40 a.m. at Charleroi Divison;Mon Valley Hospitals;Inc. He was born in Fayette City Aug.14;1913;the son of James and the late Elizabrth Park Young. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church of Fayette City. Mr.Young was an employee of the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his widow;Elizabeth Gillen;two sons;James K.at home and William Flenniken of Titusville;Fla.;two daughters;Cynthia Balmer of Belle Vernon and Janice Van Meter of Pontiac;Mich.;his father;James of Newell;three brothers;Clarence of Fayette City;Wilford of Newell and Gilbert of Fayette City;and 12 grandchildren. Friends will be received after 12 p.m.Saturday at Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday with the Rev.Fred Gnatuk of United Presbyterian Church;Fayette City;officiating. Burial in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
