Obituary

James Trombino of 415 Market St.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,Sept.3,1982,at 4:14 a.m.in Montiefiore Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was 85. Mr.Trombino was born Dec.17,1896,in Vincenza,Italy,and had been a resident of Belle Vernon Since 1920. He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Mr.Trombino retired in 1961 from the fabric department of the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He served in the Italian Army during World War I for 54 months,from 1914-1918. Survivors include his widow,Helen Sylvester Trombino,three sons,Robert A.and James N.,both of Belle Vernon,and Jerry of McKeesport,one daughter,Mrs.Wilford (Rose) Grant of Crafton,one brother and three sisters,Luigi,Maria,Concetta and Tedesina,all of Italy,11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer service will be held on Monday,Sept.6,at 11:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St.Sebastian Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
