James Van Divner of 434 Bluff St.;Belle Vernon died Wednesday;April 29;1981 at 11:45 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. Mr.Van Divner was born April 11;1904;in Smock;Pa.;a son of the late Levi and Barbara Van Divner. He was a Baptist by faith. A former coal miner and American Window glass worker;Mr.Van Divner retired as an employee of the U.S.Post Office in Belle Vernon. He had lived in the Belle Vernon area for many years. Survivers include his wife;Thelma Headley Van Divner;at home;two sons;Bill Van Divner of Belle Vernon and Arthur M.Van Divner at home;a daughter;Janice Van Divner of McKeesport;two sisters;Mrs.Alice Veach of Brownsville and Ruth;and four grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be in the funeral home Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev.Charles Colas;pastor of First Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
