Obituary

James V.Simpson,53,of 934 Henry St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday morning,Feb.6,1961,at 3:45 o'clock in the Oakland Veterans Administration Hospital,Pittsburgh after a brief illness. Mr.Simpson was born in Belle Vernon,July 8,1907 and was a U.S.Army World War ll veteran. He was employed at Armstrong Brothers Hotel,Pittsburgh. Surviving are five brothers,Robert,at home,Nelson of Los Angeles,Calif.and Lawrence,Louis and Dale of Monessen,three sisters,Mrs.Raymond (Hazel) Chilton of Belle Vernon ,Mrs.Vincent (Velma) Frazier of Donora and Mrs.Jack (Betty) Dillard of Belle Vernon and many nieces and nephews. Friends are being received at the late home beginning Tuesday at 3 p.m. Funeral services will be held there on Thursday,Feb.9,1961,at 11 a.m. The Rev.H.F.Coffey will officiate. Intement will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C.Draper,funeral director.
