James V. Sellaro,80,of 1125 Linn Dr.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,Dec. 29,1988,at 3:20 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. Mr. Sellaro was born Sept. 8,1908,in Eckman,W.VA.,a son of the late Rosario and Saleta Bitonti Sellaro. Selp-employed as a barber for 58 years,he retired in 1980 as owner and operator of the Sellaro Barber Shop in Belle Vernon. Mr. Sellaro was a World War II veteran,serving with the U.S. Army's 126th Anti-Aircraft Battalion. He came to Belle Vernon from Fayette City in 1958. Mr. Sellaro and his wife,Helen Suchetka Sellaro,who survives,celebrated 46 years of marriage last October. An infant son and infant daughter and a brother,Frank Sellaro,are deceased. Surviving,in addition to his wife,are one son,James J. Sellaro,at home;one daughter, Mrs. Scott (Helen) Taylor,of West Newton;three brothers, Joseph Sellaro of Elizabeth and John and Louis Sellaro,both of Belle Vernon;three sisters, Mrs. Edith Lackowitz,Mrs. Mary Klisowski and Mrs. Clifford (Theresa) Toth,all of Belle Vernon;and two grandsons, Scott and David Taylor. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home,Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home,Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
