Obituary

A former Monessen man,James Tolbert Killings,68,of 514 Fifth St.,Mather,died Thursday,March 7,1968,in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Mr.Killings,a resident of Mather seven years,had lived in Monessen 30 years and Brownsville four years. He was a retired employee of the Donora plant of U.S.Steel's American Steel and Wire Division. Mr.Killings was born on Aug.3,1899,in Springfield,Tenn. Surviving are his widow,Elizabeth,two sisters,Mrs.Elizabeth Bernett and Mrs.Mary Lenora,both of Kokomo,Ind.,a brother,Evans of Belle Vernon,several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Law Funeral Home,Brownsville,after 7 p.m.March 9. Funeral services will take place there Monday,March 11,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.William Richardson,pastor of Mt.Lebanon Baptist Church in Brownsville,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Law Funeral Home of Brownsville in charge.
