James S.Houston of 457 Olive Ave.;North Charleroi;died Wednesday;Sept.10;1980;at 1:25 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. Mr.Houston was born Sept.3;1897;in Wilkes-Barre;Pa.;a son of the late William and Elizabeth Stevenson Houston. He was retired from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. A Protestant by faith;he was a U.S.Army veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow;Gemma Michelotti Houston;one granddaughter;Mrs.Armida Dora of Virginia Beach;Va.;and several nieces and nephews. Mr.Houston was preceded in death by a daughter;Donna Somers;in 1977. Friends will be received in the Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home;819 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Friday. Services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 a.m.with the Rev.Francis M.Blair of the Presbyterian Church of Charleroi officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to a favorite charity. The Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
