Obituary

James Beasley,67,of 105 Ninth St.,Monessen died Sunday, Aug. 9,1964,at 1 p.m. in Aspinwall Veterans Administration Hospital. Born in Huntsville,Ala.,March 15,1897,he had lived in Monessen since 1918. Mr. Beasley was retired from the galvanized department of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. since 1960.  He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Joseph H. Ford American Legion Post 691,Monessen and the 350th Barracks of Charleroi. Surviving are one nephew,Louis Whitehead of Horning,Pa.,and one niece,Mrs. Lulu Mae Butler of Chattanooga,Tenn. Friends will be received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen, after 7 p.m. Aug. 10.  Service there Wednesday,Aug. 12,at 11 a.m. in charge of the Rev. D.D. Chatman,pastor of Union Baptist Church of Monessen.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
