James R.Springer;70;of Belle Vernon R.D.2;died Sunday;March 21;1976;at 5:05 a.m.in Frick Community Hospital in Mt.Pleasant. Mr.Springer was born in Brownsville on Sept.8;1905;a son of the late John and Mary (Mayme) Watkins Springer. He was a retired employee of the Fisher Body plant in West Mifflin. Mr.Springer was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Brownsville and the F&AM Blythe Lodge 593 of West Newton. Mr.Springer is survived by one son;Richard L.Springer of Morrisville;Pa.;one daughter;Mrs.Fred (Ruth Ann) Folmer of Ponca City;Okla.;two brothers;J.Paul Springer of Brownsville and Charles Springer of Boca Raton;Fla.;and one grandchild. Friends will be recieved in the James C.Stump Funeral Home;Inc.;in Rostraver Twp.;on Monday;March 22;from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday;March 23;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday;March 24 at 11 a.m.;with the Rev.William D.Morgan officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society. James C.Stump;funeral director in charge.
