He had been a barber in Belle Vernon for the past twenty-five years. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the Second Replacement Depot;E.T.O. and was a sanctioned referee of the W.P.I.A.L. He was a member of the Belle Vernon Musical Society and the Italian Beneficial Society;Post No.659;American Legion. Surviving are his wife;Janie Stringhill Mitchell;his mother;Mrs.Mary Mitchell;two brothers;Frank of Dunbar;W.Va.;Michael of Fairhope and two sisters;Mrs.Carrie Conti;Monessen;and Mrs.Madeline Zucconi;Belle Vernon.Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home. Military funeral services will be held there Tuesday;May 20;1947 at 2:30 p.m.;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
