James Pennington Sr.,59,of 936 Graham Ave.,Monessen,died Wednesday, May 22,1968 at 8:30 a.m. at his home. He suffered a heart attack. Born in New York City on Nov. 13,1909,he had lived in Monessen 42 years. Mr. Pennington, an employee of the Monessen Page Division of American Chain and Cable Co.,was a member and trustee of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and belonged to Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 79,both of Monessen. Surviving are his widow, Harriet;two sons, James Jr. of Belle Vernon and Henry at home; a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Harvey of Newton Falls,Ohio;one brother, Robert of Brooklyn,N.Y. and eight grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen,after 7 p.m. May 23. Service at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Monessen on Saturday May 25 at 11 a.m. The Rev. P.L. Greene,pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Connellsville will officiate. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper is the funeral director.
