Obituary

James Patterson, 59, of 213 Edith St., Belle Vernon (Fairhope), died suddenly on Monday,Jan.29,1968, at 4:15 a.m. in Charleroi-Monesen Hospital. Born in Pricedale April 6,1908, he had lived in the Belle Vernon area his entire life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Belle Vernon, and was chairman of the troop committee for Fairhope Boy Scouts. Mr. Patterson was active in scout work over the past 20 years. He was employed in the shipping department of the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are his widow, Mary Shosky Patterson, two sons, James M. of Belle Vernon and William T. at home, two grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, Belle Vernon, after 7 p.m.,Jan.30. Service there Thursday,Feb.1,1968,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Charles Colas,pastor of Belle Vernon's First Baptist Church,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director.
