James P.Gargan Sr.;74;of Brownstown;Fayette City R.D.1;died Saturday;Sept.9;1967;at 4:45 a.m.in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr.Gargan was born in Washington Twp.on March 17;1893;the son of the late James and Elizabeth Lafferty Gargan. A retired steelworker of the Allenport Works of the Pittsburgh Steel Co.;he was a member of the Holy Spirit R.C.Church in Fayette City. Survivors include his widow;Mildred Reynolds Gargan;two sons;James of Morrisville and John of Fayette City;two daughters;Mrs.William (Elizabeth) Croushore of Levittown and Mrs.Joseph (Peggy) Kosanko of Fayette City R.D.1;11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Friends are being received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;where services will be held on Tuesday;Sept.12;at 9:30 a.m.followed by Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m.at the Holy Spirit R.C.Church;Fayette City;with Rev.Joseph Tamilovski;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold W.McCrory is funeral director.
