James Paholski;79; of 219 Plainview Ave.;Belle Vernon;died on Monday;Aug.17;1992;at 4:30 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Jan.1;1913;in Ukraine-Poland;a son of the late Stephen and Josephine Barney Paholski. He was a member ot St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon;Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659;and the Belle Vernon and Fayette City Golden Age Assemblies. He was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area;and served in the U.S.Army during World War II. He retired in 1972 as a bricklayer for American Chain and Cable Company of Monessen. Survivors include his wife;Julia Koslasky Pohalski;and two granddaughters;Julianne Crowl of Morgantown;W.Va.;and Jennifer Lee Crowl of Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by one daughter;Judith Ann Sterner on Sept.23;1983;one brother;Stanley Pohalski;and one sister;Helen Deering. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Prayer service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
