Obituary

James Paholski,79, of 219 Plainview Ave.,Belle Vernon,died on Monday,Aug.17,1992,at 4:30 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Jan.1,1913,in Ukraine-Poland,a son of the late Stephen and Josephine Barney Paholski. He was a member ot St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon,Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659,and the Belle Vernon and Fayette City Golden Age Assemblies. He was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area,and served in the U.S.Army during World War II. He retired in 1972 as a bricklayer for American Chain and Cable Company of Monessen. Survivors include his wife,Julia Koslasky Pohalski,and two granddaughters,Julianne Crowl of Morgantown,W.Va.,and Jennifer Lee Crowl of Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by one daughter,Judith Ann Sterner on Sept.23,1983,one brother,Stanley Pohalski,and one sister,Helen Deering. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Prayer service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
