James (Piney) Dow;57;of 131 Branthoover St.;Arnold City;died Wednesday;Dec.22;1976 at 5:50 a.m. in the Charleroi Division of the Mon Valley Hospital. Mr.Dow;a retired mill worker;was a member of the IBPOE of W.Oaky Lodge 697 of Monessen;American Legion Post 691 in Monessen and the Twin Lodge 67;F&AM;Pricedale. He is survived by his widow;Louise Dow;a brother;Charles Dow of Donora;three sisters;Ruth Brown and Mildred Berkley;both of Belle Vernon and Eva Minnie of Donora;and a number of aunts;uncles;nieces and nephews in the Mon Valley area. Friends will be received in the William R.Taylor Funeral Home in Monessen from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday;Dec.22;1976 and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday Dec.23;1976 where funeral services will be held Friday Dec.24;1976 at 1 p.m. from the Speers Street AME Church in Belle Vernon with the Rev.Samuel Chambers;officiating.
