Obituary

A .32 revolver with which they had been playing in the absence of older members of the household, who had gone to church,brought death to James Bilger,13, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bilger, of 402 Bluff street,Belle Vernon. The shooting occurred at the home of Lee Axton,13,Short street,Belle Vernon,on Sunday night,May 9,1937. Jimmie was in the sixth grade of the Belle Vernon public school. Sonny Bilger, 11, late brother of the dead youth, was drowned about five years ago at Speers Beach. Besides his parents, Jimmie leaves a sister, Doris, at home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday May 12,1937, in the Bilger home. Rev.Large,pastor of the Free Methodist Church in Belle Vernon,will officiate. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
