A .32 revolver with which they had been playing in the absence of older members of
the household; who had gone to church;brought death to James Bilger;13; only son of
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bilger; of 402 Bluff street;Belle Vernon. The shooting occurred at the home of Lee Axton;13;Short street;Belle Vernon;on Sunday night;May 9;1937. Jimmie was in the sixth grade of the Belle Vernon public school. Sonny Bilger; 11; late brother of the dead youth; was drowned about five years ago at Speers Beach. Besides his parents; Jimmie
leaves a sister; Doris; at home.
Funeral services will be held at
2:30 p.m.; Wednesday May 12;1937; in the Bilger home. Rev.Large;pastor of the Free Methodist Church in Belle Vernon;will officiate. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
