James Lester Bell,57,of 451 Clarendon Ave., Monesen,died unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, Jan. 1,1969 at 2:30 p.m. Mr. Belle was employed at the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen. Surviving are his widow, Josephine; a son, Fauns at home; his mother, Mrs. Nora Biffle of Monessen;a brother, Edward of Aliquippa, a sister, Mrs. Katherine Cunningham of Monessen, an uncle,S.Q. Barbee of Aliquippa,an aunt,Mrs. Gladys Rice of Springfield, Tenn. and many nieces and nephews. Friends are being received at the William R. Taylor Funeral Home,Monessen from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Service Saturday, Jan. 4,at 11 a.m. in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen, with the Rev. E.W. Archie,pastor,officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. William R.Taylor is the funeral director.
