James Leroy (Mose) Washington;94;of 7726 Penbrook Place;Landover;Md.;formerly of Monessen;died Thursday;June 30;1994;at 8:30 a.m. in Lafayette Manor;Uniontown. Mr.Washington was born Dec.29;1899;in Braddock;a son of the late Lee and Lula Washington. He was a retired employee of the former Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Mr.Washington had been a resident of Monessen for many years before moving to Landover;Md. He was a member of a musical quartet called The Wheeling Four. Mr.Washington’s wife;Laura;died in 1975. Surviving are a son;David Washington of Greensburg;a daughter;Annie R.Wright of Landover;Md.;and a step-brother;Clyde Wheeler of Monessen. Friends will be received in the chapel of the William R.Taylor Funeral Home;645 McMahon Ave.;Monessen;on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.;the hour of services in the funeral home chapel;wth the Rev.James Edmonds;pastor;Union Baptist Church;Monessen;officiating.
