Obituary

James L.Sterner,68,of 317 Water street,Belle Vernon,died at his home,Thursday,Nov.1,1956 at 8 a.m. He is survived by his wife,Adda,six sons,Mervin James and Louis of Okmulgee,Oklahoma,Donald,Alvin,Roy and William of Belle Vernon,three daughters,Mrs.William (Alverta) Helmken of Okmulgee,Oklahome,Mrs.Jack (Glenna) Richwind,Belle Vernon,and Mrs.Robert (Joan) Peters of Belle Vernon,three brothers,Harvey of Conneaut,Clifford of Monongahela,and Thomas Earl of Sarasota,Florida,two sisters,Mrs.Maude Markle and Mrs.Blanche Shermer of West Newton,eighteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 ad 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Monday,November 5,1956,at 2 p.m.in charge of Rev.George Guest,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
