James K. Adams; 71; of Broad Avenue; Belle Vernon; died Tuesday; April 16; 2002; in Canonsburg Hospital. A son of the late George K. and Helen M. Lehew Adams; he was born Feb. 26; 1931; in Monessen. Mr. Adams was a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated the Puritan Insurance Agency in Belle Vernon for many years prior to his retirement in 1988. Formerly of Bentleyville; he had resided in Belle Vernon for the past 13 years. Survivors include his wife of 49 years; Donna Bond Adams; three sons and two daughters-in-law; Kenneth and Beth Adams of State College; Kirk and Noreen Adams of Mt. Lebanon; and Keith Adams of San Diego; Calif.; one brother; George W. Adams of Belle Vernon; and nine grandchildren; Eric; Ryan; Andy; Nora; Kyle; Chris; Danny; Amy and Matt Adams. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.; a Golden Rule Member Firm; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Richard C. Klein officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
