James H. Dennis; 79; of North Charleroi; died Sunday; Sept. 3; 2006; in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born March 31; 1927; in North Charleroi; a son of the late Alvie and Bernice Sichi Dennis. Mr. Dennis was a U.S. Army veteran; serving in the Korean War; and he was a member of the North Charleroi Slavic Citizens Club. He retired in 1986 from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. after 30 years of service. Surviving are nephews and nieces; George and Toni Theys; of Ruffsdale; James and Tamara Theys; of Fayette City; Karen and Michael Abraham; of Fairfax; Va.; and Carol Theys; of Vienna; Va.; great-nephews and nieces; James and wife Ann; Jason; Christopher and wife Crystal; Tara and husband Mark; Michael; Matthew; Joshua and Jordan; and great-great-niece and nephews; Alaina; Gavin; Seth and Samuel. In addition to his parents; Mr. Dennis was preceded in death by his sister; Luella Sis Theys; and brother-in-law; George M. Theys. Friends will be received Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the SCHROCK- HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC.; (www.schrock-hogan.com); 226 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi; where funeral services will be held Saturday; Sept. 9; at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Linn officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
