Obituary

James Hunter died at his home in Fairhope,Thursday, February 16,1939,at the age of 67 years.  He was born in Greengairs,Scotland,December 13,1871.  He came to the United States in 1905 and has been a resident of Fairhope for the past 34 years.The deceased was a member of the Marion Presbyterian Church of Fairhope and of the Masonic lodge Kirkcaddie in Scotland.  He was active in the Fairhope Rod and Gun club. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs.Ann Bohy,Mrs. Martha Kamoda,Mrs. Christina Melcher, and Mrs. Mary Woods;six grandchildren;two sisters, Mrs. Ann Gardner, in Scotland,and Mrs. Jenny Muir,in Australia;two nephews, Rev. David Hunter,of McCellandtown,James Hunter,of Los Angeles,and one niece,Mrs. Ann MacLaren,of Monessen. Funeral services will be held at the home in Fairhope,Sunday at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. George Guest,pastor of the Marion Presbyterian Church. Interment will be made in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
