Obituary

J.Howard Isenberg,86,who had been making his home with his daughter,Mrs.Sam (Ruth) Destefano,1274 Rostraver St.,Monessen,died this morning Tuesday,Aug.11,1964,at 6:32 o'clock. He was born in Petersburg,Pa.,Aug.13,1877,and belonged to the First Christian Church of Monessen. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War and a retired Tin Mill worker. He was preceded in death by his wife,Elizabeth,who died July 6,1958. Surviving are two daughters,Mrs.Sam (Ruth) Destefano of Monessen,Mrs.Harry (Helen) Malone of Monessen,four sons,Vincent J.of Belle Vernon,Police Chief,Howard T.of New York City,Wayne of Belle Vernon R.D.2 and Robert of Huntingdon,three sisters,Mrs.March Long of Huntingdon,Mrs.James Rupert of Huntingdon and Mrs.Lottie McGhakin of Altoona,eleven grandchildren,seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home in Monessen after 1 p.m. Aug.12. Service there Friday,Aug.14 at 1:30 p.m.in charge of the Rev. David J.Snyder of the Fayette City Christian Church. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer,funeral director.
