Obituary

James (Hick) Miller Sr.,59,of 506 Perry Ave.,Belle Vernon R.D.died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital Tuesday Jan.18,1966,at 2:50 a.m. Mr.Miller was born in Belle Vernon on March 21,1906,the son of the late Henry and Mary Hepple Miller. He was a member of Calvin United Presbyterian Church of Brownsville and was employed in the oil well tubing department of the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are his widow,Ethel Kovatch Miller,four daughters,Mrs.Anthony (Ethel Mae) Scaccia of Charleroi,Mrs.Norman (Marilyn Jane) Kutcy and Mrs.Anthony (Ruth Ann) Silardi,both of Fairhope and Loretta Jean Miller at home,two sons,William Edwin and James H.Jr.,both of Marion Villa (Fairhope),thirteen grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,where a service will take place Friday,Jan.27,at 2:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev.Victor Bodnar,pastor of Calvin United Presbyterian Church of Brownsville and the Rev.Abner P.Richard,pastor of Marion Presbyterian Church in Fairhope. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W.McCrory,funeral director.
