Obituary

James H.Connoley of Elizabeth R.D.3,formerly of the Webster area,died Friday,May 31,1985,t 5:30 a.m. in the Waddington Convalescent Home. He was 95. Born Aug.17,1889,in Blythedale,Pa.,he was a son of the late James and Sarah Walker Connoley. Mr.Connoley retired from the former U.S.Steel Works in Donora after 43 years of service in the blast furnace utilities. Mr.Connoley was a member of the Webster United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Elma Price Connoley,and a daughter,Dorothy E.Mazura. Surviving are a son,James Robert Connoley of Warren,Ohio,two daughters,Mrs.Albert (Ruth) Gamble of Elizabeth R.D.3 and Mrs.Robert (Betty) Allen of Belle Vernon R.D.2,two brothers,William B.Connoley of Frederick,Md.and Dr.J.Vincent Connoley of Fort Lauderdale,Fla.,a sister,Mrs.Annie Hamilton of Washington,Pa.,10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the James A.Rabe Funeral Home,701 Thompson Ave.,Donora,where funeral services will be held Monday,June 3,at 11 a.m. with Rev.Pat Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rabe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
