Obituary

James F. Jampetro,82,of Belle Vernon Apartments,died Sunday, Feb. 22,1998,at 10:40 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital.  He was born in Coraopolis on Aug. 28,1915, a son of the late Michael and Margherita Penitente Giampetro. Mr. Jampetro lived most of his life in Belle Vernon,where he was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church.  He retired in 1978 as a warehouseman from the former Fox Grocery Co. in Belle Vernon.  A veteran of World War II, he served as a fourth-grade technician in the U.S. Army,781st Motor Battalion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Stergi Jampetro on Dec. 14,1993 and a brother,Mario DeBennett. Survivors include two sons,James F. Jampetro Jr. of Donora and Michael D. Jampetro of Monessen; three daughters, Mrs. Anthony (Margaret) Ruscitti of Mather, Mrs. Ralph (Patricia) Rubachko of Charleroi and Mrs. Leonard (Rita) Vagnoni of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township); two sisters, Jennie Cardinale of Belle Vernon and Stella Giampetro of Belle Vernon,eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to  p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon.  Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeal home.  Interment will be held in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
