James F. Davis, 78, Richeyville, died Tuesday, April 29, 1947, at 10:30 p. m. at his home. He was born June 22, 1868, and was a retired miner. Surviving are two sons, George A. Davis, U. S. Army, and Wilbur Davis, Scenery Hill; two step-sons, Robert Fleming, Richeyville,and Charles Fleming, Brownsville; one daughter, Mrs. Tiernan, Richeyville; four sisters, Mrs. John Lindley, Fayette City, Mrs. Thomas Wilson, McKeesport, Mrs. Leo Lindley, Prospect, Pa., Mrs. Anthony Steiner, Pittsburgh; four brothers, George Davis, Dry Tavern; Tom Davis, Jefferson; William Davis, Blacksville, W. Va., and John Davis,Butler County. Friends will be received at the McDonough and Greenlee Funeral Home,Beallsville. Services will be held there Saturday,May 3,1947,at 2 p.m. DST,in charge of Rev.Charles Dias. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. McDonough and Greenlee are the funeral directors.
