James Ernest Goe. 87; of 328
Graham St.; Belle Vernon; died
Wednesday;Jan.11;1967; at 10 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after a
lingering illness.
Mr. Goe; a retired employee
from the now defunct Belle Vernon Glass Factory; had lived in
Belle Vernon 60 years.
He was a member of Speers
St. A. M. E. Church in Belle
Vernon; where he was a former
steward.
Mr. Goe was born in Brownsville on Dec. 28; 1879.
Surviving are his widow; Mattie Lockley Goe; a daughter;
Mrs. Ernestine Bedford of Donora; two sons; Kenneth A. of
Detroit; Mich.; and Lawrence P.
of Pittsburgh; one sister; Mrs.
Edna Thompson of Detroit; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildrern.
Friends will be received at
the late home after 11 a.m. Jan.13. Service on Saturday;Jan.14;at 2 p.m.from Speers St.A.M.E.Church;Belle Vernon. The Rev.James Cox;pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Pittsburgh;will officiate. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery. Percy Law Jr.of Donora is funeral director.
